This week’s Project 52 theme is “Depth of Field.” I love using a really shallow depth of field, so that the background is blurry and the subject is in focus. I find it’s an effect that draws your attention right to the dog in the photo. This week, I managed to convince Flint to hold still for just a second before he was back off and running.

Great use of aperture and increased distance from the background to create greater DOF and a beautiful blur to the trees!
Oh that Flynn, looks like quite the character. Beautiful setting and background.
I love your first image and this setting looks gorgeous!
Hahaha!! Sounds about right for a lot of our subjects! 🙂
Fantastic capture of Finn running at the camera – you captured him perfectly!
Perfect Examples! Wonderful job with this!
What a spectacular location and of course an adorable model.
Flint is getting the hang of modelling. Lovely shots!
I love both images. Great landscape…and that face in the running picture- awesome!
So very sweet. I can’t believe you convinced this puppy to hold still for even a second. 🙂
JEALOUS of those woods. And that dog. And your images! Great job, and fun portraits of Flint.
