Scotland: Aberfeldy
July 13, 2023
Destination: Scotland

What happens when 17 pet photographers from all over the world decided to meet up in Scotland? Something pretty special!

In May, I had the opportunity to attend an informal gathering of pet photographers in Scotland, organized by the amazing Ewan Cheyne of Mutley’s Snaps. It was an incredible week of sharing ideas, swapping stories, exploring amazing locations, and of course, DOGS! I learned so much from being around this group of talented photographers, and I’m excited to incorporate everything I learned into my regular photography work.

The Birks of Aberfeldy

Our first adventure of the week took us to the Birks of Aberfeldy. It was a place of streams, waterfalls, moss, and forest. Whenever I see a beautiful landscape like this, my first thought is, “this needs a dog!” So, it was a dream come true to have such a wonderful group of dogs arrive for their portraits.

The foamy stream deep-roaring fa’s,
O’erhung wi’ fragrant spreading shaws,

Thank you to Jasper, Maxx, Lexie, William, and Isaac for being such wonderful models!

While the locations in New England might be different, I still have summer availability and plenty of ideas for epic adventures in the Boston and New Hampshire areas. Contact me and let’s plan and adventure for your dog!
